Shri Ghantakarna Market in Ahmedabad hosted a moving evening of devotion as Rajshree Bhojnalaya organised a grand Bhajan Sandhya titled “An Evening for Shri Gomata”. The entire evening was dedicated to Gaumata.
A large turnout of cow devotees
Cow devotees and members of the community attended in large numbers. Through the bhajans performed, those present expressed their faith in Gomata.
A gathering of the Rajasthani samaj
The evening also became a special occasion for the Rajasthani samaj to come together, giving people otherwise caught up in business and daily routine a chance to sit down and enjoy the bhajans as one.
Bhajan Sandhya with a social purpose
Building a Bhajan Sandhya around a social cause is a growing practice in Ahmedabad. When a theme such as cow service, blood donation or education is tied to a devotional event, the message travels further and more easily, because those who come to a Bhajan Sandhya come willingly and with open hearts.
An event inside a market complex
Events of this kind in market complexes bring the trading community together and add a note of social warmth to business relationships.
Eateries and the community
Rajasthani eateries in Ahmedabad are not merely businesses; they are meeting places for the community. Migrant families find both the food of their region and familiar faces here, which is why such establishments often host social events as well.
