A divine musical Sundarkand Path was held on the evening of 27 March 2026 at Pushpakunj Society in Isanpur, Ahmedabad. The event was organised by Shri Pawanputra Sundarkand Seva Mandal.
Cries of Jai Shri Ram ring out
Devotees recited the Sundarkand together in one voice, and the whole neighbourhood rang with cries of Jai Shri Ram.
Sweet strains of bhajans
The melodious bhajans performed alongside the path deepened the devotional mood further. The devotees present remained absorbed in that atmosphere late into the evening.
Closing with mahaprasad
The programme closed with mahaprasad, arranged by the coordinator Nagar ji Swami.
The power of reciting together
One thing that sets the Sundarkand apart is that it is not merely listened to — everyone present reads it together. Booklets are handed out and all recite the chaupais in rhythm. That shared act is what distinguishes it from other katha recitals: here the listener is not a spectator but an active participant.
What a coordinator carries
The coordinator’s role is decisive at every event, covering everything from fixing the date to coordinating the singers, collecting contributions and arranging the prasad. The post is usually unpaid and voluntary.
